Around the end of August I went and bought a domain name and hosting package through 1&1 - S.A. Hyde, Hypnotist. The package was three months hosting for 5.99 a month, then 9.99 a month after that. I got three free domain names in with the package. All well and good I thought, until I started trying to build the site.
1&1 has this really neat set of templates, but you can't change the HTML in them. For that, you have to pay an additional 9.99 a month for the Website Builder Plus package, billable in three month increments.
Then, last month, they added a new "freebie" called RatePoint, a separate company that allows customers to rate you and your business much in the same fashion as eBay's old feedback system. Only problem is, you'd have to be able to add their HTML code to your site in order for things to work properly.
Well, I found a way around the code problem. I created a mirror site on Tripod, borrowed a few things from 1&1, set up a bookstore with Amazon and !Shazam!, I have a working business site - S.A.Hyde, Hypnotist.
From there, I've gone on to revamp my personal website. It's now Hyde In Plain Sight. I also have a photo album showing my latest hobby - Steampunk!
One of the wonderful things about the three above sites is that when I buy a new domain through Tripod, the URLs will get much shorter.
More to come!

Wide Awake
It's near midnight, and I'm still awake. I only got about 5 hours sleep last night, so I'm a bit surprised about that.
At least my writers' block is finally broken. I've been working on scripts for the last three days. Once I find the time to record, I'm going to need a new flash drive to hold them. Ah, well. I'm busy again, so that's the good thing.

That Time of Year Again
Well, here it is again. My birthday. I'm officially 45.
My only saving thought is that next year my brother hits the big 4-0.

VerveEarth
I just joined Verve Earth - http://www.verveearth.com/landing/ - a neat site that "shows spatial and geographic connections that a blog search engine could never reveal". I'll be adding a VerveEarth widget to this blog soon.

Writing - Dionysia Overture
Filled the second notebook and am about halfway through a third. Chronologically, about 3 weeks have "passed" and been written about. I'm to the point in writing where each week is punctuated by spending a day on Little World, so not only does the reader get to see what the main character does with his new-found power on Earth, but also how he adapts to the created "world" of the ship.

A Little Catching Up
Well, it's been far too long since I've written here, so a little catching up is in order.
Aside from Social Security royally dragging their feet in paying me what they owe me, I have only one major event to report for the last 3 months. I'm writing again. Not the story I was working on last year, but a whole new one. I started in January and have been working a little every day or so. I've already filled one notebook and am almost through a second. Yay me!
